WinXP SP2 und Teledat Eternet USB, Firewire, HP-Drucker …. - Service Pack 2 für Windows XP via Window…
drucker ist es im Kasten:
Wenn das Nicht-Online-Paket (267 MBytes) nach dem SP2-Update das
Windows zu Fehlern bringt, dann passiert das auch beim Online-Update.
Fehler sind bei mir ausschliesslich Treiberprobleme:
Microsoft ersetzt massiv Treiber.
Bei mir lief u.a die Firwire-Schnittstelle nicht mehr.
Teledat Eternet USB (DSL-Modem) arbeitet korrekt, wird aber als
fehlerhaft erkannt.
Nach der Deinstallation von SP2 ist der HP-Drucker-Treiber
zerschossen.
Ein paar Regeln fürs Update:
Der User muss unbedingt sein gesamtens Betriebssystem plattenseitig
spiegeln oder Image ziehen und die Daten über längeren Zeitraum
aufheben !!!
Direkt vor der SP2-Installation ist manuell ein
Systemwiederherstellungspunkt zu setzen: Der zu Beginn der
SP2-Installation durch das SP2-Update angelegte
Systemwiederherstellungspunkt bleibt nicht erhalten, sondern wird
umgesetzt in eine De-Installationsroutine, deren Speicherort der User
bestätigen muss.
Die Festplatte mit Windows wird massiv gefüllt ! Es muss freier Platz
drauf sein, der so gross ist, dass die Systemwiederherstellung nicht
deaktiviert wird.
Zusätzlich werden alte Dateien gesichert, das kostet Plattenplatz.
Wer SP2 deinstalliert, muss mit bösen Ãœberraschungen rechnen !!!
Daher unbedingt die Plattenspiegelung, die über längeren Zeitraum
aufgehoben werden sollte !!!
Anstelle der Deinstallation von SP2 ist Rückspiegelung der Platten
vorzuziehen.
Die Deinstallation von SP2 erfolgt nicht vollständig.
Nach der Deinstallation von SP2 blieb der Internet Explorer auf SP2,
war bei mir der HP-Druckertreiber zerschossen, aber das Gerät korrekt
in der Systemsteuerung erkannt.
Nun aber der wirklich kreative Haken:
Ohne SP2 wird es irgendwann nicht mehr gehen mit Windows. Da die
Hardwareerkennung Treiber von SP2 nicht mehr der aktuellen Hardware
entsprechen, muss man auf Features verzichten, solange bis es
WinXP-SP2-kompatible Treiber gibt.
Da ohne SP2 nüx mehr funzt, muss man also von Windows weg. Bleibt
u.a. Linux, das bemüht ist, zur aktuellen Hardware nutzbare Treiber
zu bringen und nicht umgekehrt. Microsoft scheint zu denken, der User
kauft Windows, damit er es nicht nutzen kann.
Fazit:
Wenn sich an SP2 nichts ändert, dann wird wohl Microsoft Kunden
verlieren.
Und das auch bezüglich Anschluss-Software wie MS Office …. also
jede Software, die auf SP2 setzt.
Um zu verhindern, dass Kunden flöten gehen, sollte Microsoft anstelle
des per Update eingeführten neuen Windows eine neue Windowsversion
als Kaufpackung anbieten … natürlich zum Linux-Preis wie bei Suse
professional.
Aber ich nehme an, dass Microsoft anders denkt …. Kurzfristig kann
Microsoft ja Gewinn realisieren, wenn man die Hotline von 12
cent/minute auf 3,86 Euro erhöht *fg
Wie heisst es so schön: Der König ist tot, es lebe der König ! Nur
dass diesmal ein Regimewechsel stattfindet, wenn Microsoft nicht
aufpasst *fg
Drum jetz schon mal sage: Und tschüss Microsoft !

Nachfolgend meine Fehlerbeschreibung zu SP2
Systemsteuerung-System:
2x Reiter Automatisches Update vorhanden mit identischem Inhalt
Teledat Fast Eternet USB:
Es erscheint neben der Uhr in der Taskleiste
ein Doppelmonitor mit gelben Ausrufungszeichen
Fehler: IP der Netzwerkkarte nicht gefunden
Aber: Im Gerätemanager alles okay UND IP wird angezeigt
Wenn DFÜ gestartet wird, dann er scheint ein 2.
Doppelmonitorsymbol und das arbeitet wie gewohnt
Microsoft-Support per Telefon meint, Telekom muss neuen Treiber
bereitstellen
Telekom stellt aber keine neuen Treiber bereit, da Win2000 Treiber
laufen vor SP2
Firewire 1394 arbeitet nicht mehr:
Die Firewire-Schnittstelle auf der Creative Labs Audigy 1
wird im Gerätemanager korrekt und fehlerfrei erkannt
Alle Treiber sind aus SP2 und von Microsoft !!!
Mit Start von Videocapturing per Pinnacle Movie DVD Box
wird Gerät erkannt, aber der Treiber stürzt ab: Software bleibt
hängen
Mit Abschalten des Gerätes an der Schnittstelle läuft das Programm
weiter.
getestete Software sind:
MedioStream neodvd
Sonic Mydvd
Powerdirector
Test ergab, dass der Treiber auch bei allen deaktivierten Diensten,
die
nicht Microsoft sind, nicht lief.
Es gibt nur wenige Firewire-Schnittstellen, die eigene Treiber
bieten.
Auch nach SP2 wird die Firewire wie üblich mit Treibern aus WinXP
versorgt.
Was nach SP2 neu eingerichtet werden muss:
eventuell ist MSN Messanger weg, dafür Windows Manager istalliert.
Netemeeting wird neu installiert auch wenn aktuell vorhanden –> neu
einrichten
Windows Mediaplayer wird neu installiert auch wenn aktuell vorhanden
–> neu einrichten

in Systemsteuerung 2 neue Kategorien auftauchen
Sicherheitscenter
Windows-Firewall
Dort sind Einstellungen nachträglich treffbar
Hinweise für JScript-Programmierer:
Es ist anzunehmen, dass JScript nicht mehr komplett funktionieren
muss.
Daher alles testen ! Vorallem Popupfenster (window.open() etc.).
